I've been going to Jersey for a few years to visit friends and always fly from City Airport. I was looking at flights, and there are flights to Jersey from LCY, but none back; only to Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton or Stansted.

Is there a simple explanation why this would be? Looking at the Jersey Airport website London City is not listed as a destination: https://www.jerseyairport.com/flight/wherewefly/

Is it seasonal and stops between your planned out and return dates?

Any idea which airline it was? The BA app says they don t serve City to Jersey, so presumably not Cityflyer unless it s one of their seasonal weekend only runs that s ending fairly soon.

Might be a circular route. Aircraft ends up back at city via somewhere else.

Isn't city Airport closed on Saturday or Sunday? Or both? Maybe your return dates fall on a closed day?

Possibly Blue Islands? They don't have an amazing punctuality record....

Have been going almost every year. Used to fly with Flybe from LCY then switched to BA. Always there and back, no problem.

I can book a flight with BA to get there (from LCY) but the return flight defaults to LHR.

Our nearest airport is Norwich. It's less than an hour away.

Flights to Jersey are seasonal and end on the 20th September, until next May.

Our son moves to Jersey to take up a job on the 21st.

Lunchtime Saturday to lunchtime Sunday roughly. There’s normally some departures to interesting destinations on the Saturday morning that then come back to Stansted, followed by some out & backs from there & finally a Sunday afternoon outing to somewhere sunny followed by a return to City ready for the week ahead.
The aircraft that spend the weekend in places like Glasgow go out on charter flights for local travel agents. Quite a good way of keeping the aircraft earning while their main airport is shut and the target market don’t want to travel.

Skyscanner is showing no flights at all from LCY to Jersey so the route must have finished for winter
