My daughter in her natural impulsive way is trying to book a week next year . Telling me its sales and she must book soon . I am more sceptical they are sales . Either way the price seems utterly mad to me and like all young families they don't have lots of money and I just see it as a rip off and I don't want them to get ripped off or go somewhere terrible .

If you have done similar this year I would appreciate a recommendation.

Mum , Dad two small boys 5 and 2.5 next June and my wife who will go and help a bit with the kids .
They are looking at interconnecting rooms easy jet packages in June next year for one week and places like Fuerteventura in kids type hotel places seems like £4500 for the five of them . I am told this is a good deal but I am not sure .

Have you done similar can you recommend. If it does cost that better to go somewhere that is a recommendation.
I remain shocked at the price .

Thanks

Is it all inclusive?

But yes family summer holidays, even short haul, are in the thousands.

Yes all inclusive . I guess I could get over the money , but I don't want it to be cr*p for them , hence would like a recommendation.

Club med works well - interconnecting rooms are cheap and the food for an all inc is reasonably good. Plus it seems to mostly attract French families who are not the grim Brit abroad types so the hotel retains an element of pleasantness about it.

I ve done the one in Provence and also a bit of time in the Marbella one, both are pleasant places and they re well priced for getting two rooms.

£4-7k is fairly standard for a 4* week away as a family with all inc. if you want somewhere properly decent then they seem to start around 7k and run all the way to £20-25k. Even somewhere fairly identikit like Ikos or Sani is easily over £10k a week in kids holiday times and they’re not the absolute height of luxury IMO.

Just a quick search on Jet2, 1 week departing 20/6 staying at Sheraton / Fuertenventura BB is £3100, or £4300 Full board. If you seek unlimited booze/ buffet meals etc,... other packaged deals on AI basis are around £4-5k. So £5k does seem to be the going rate for the standard package AI deal in a decent'ish hotel for June (before the crazy prices really kicks in for July and Aug!).

How about Antalya, been a few times AI and it's pretty decent.

We last went in August with Jet2 holidays, paid around £3.5k for a week and that was with a 1 child goes free discount.

Family of 5 here. Realistically somewhere half board / All Inc with interconnecting rooms is £4-5k minimum. Goes up to 7-10k if you want something particularly nice. School holidays unfortunately know how to charge.

Drives me mental as if you go as a 4 its so much cheaper, but the Mrs doesn't want to leave one of the kids biglaugh

In June, so out of school holidays. I know prices are mental but I'd be expecting 5* all in for £4k for that.

Up until last year we were still getting decent weeks all in or HB for under £2k in the Canaries/Cyprus/Greek Isles.

Edit 2 rooms is obviously going to add to the cost significantly, didn't see that bit.
