I’m going to hire a small car from Kefalonia airport in May.

Any recommendations either to hire from or to avoid? The cheapest coming up is Addcar which I’ve never used.

We're not long back.

Absolutely recommend Pefanis. Meet you at the airport. 1 minute car journey to their site. Licence check. Cash/credit card/debit card as you like. No additional fees whatsoever. "It's 75% full, bring it back the same. Here's a map. Here's the keys. Have a nice time."

I got exactly what I'd asked for (VW Polo) at exactly the price quoted. Car was perfect. They didn't try it on at all and were super efficient. I picked them based on the wide range of online recommendations and wouldn't hesitate to hire from them again next time.

Anecdotally I am told avoid Green Motion like the plague.

I used Centauro 2 weeks ago. £63 for a week - brand new 2008. No quibbles with minor scrapes on the wheels when I took it back.

Just booked through Pefanis.

Decent price considering most of the companies show a nice low price then whack on a premium for no excess. No deposit and can cancel at any point.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Just concluding the topic.

Used Pefanis and I’d definitely recommend them. Really easy pick up and drop off.

I booked a VW Up. Decent car with a couple of minor scratches on it but that was the beauty of the company, no going round it and worrying if I was going to get charged.

£240 for 14 days was good enough.
