London mid June - what's happening?
Discussion
My Aussie mate is in london mid June for a fixed family event
This would ordinarily be a great chance to book a Premier Inn or similar and see him for a few beers
The only problem is that all hotels Ive looked at have a bonkers rate even Premier Inn and Travelodge
Dates are 17-19th in case anyone has a discount code for the Savoy

Hes minted so doesnt care
Im not and am not sharing a room or bed with him
Cheers
That's pretty much peak tourist season so yes, prices are going to be high.
The further you go from the centre of things the less costly it becomes. And the advantage is that access central London from further out has never been cheaper or quicker.
Have a look at places like Stratford, or even further out.

Just had a thought, if you are ok with a capsule or underground room you could check out zedwell.

There is EasyHotel too. Although personally after trying it once I don't think I'd ever book a room without a window again. Maybe a phycological one when they rarely even open but felt quite claustrophobic without one. TuneHotels used to be fair value too.
I booked an easyHotel room in Glasgow and paid £2-3 more for a room with a window. The window was about 1ft wide x 3ft high, didn't open so you had to suffer the piped non-controllable a/c, and overlooked an office car park. It was so dreary and pointless paying for the window that I wouldn't bother paying next time.
