Verona and Bardolino
Discussion
Hi, not much help on accomodation as we only spent the day in Bardolino a couple of summers ago, we were staying in Sirmione we found it really quiet during the day compared to Sirmione that was just busy constantly but well worth a trip from Bardolino.
We did a couple of nights in Milan and then got the train really really easy and compared to the UK train service it was brilliant.

Wife and I have been to Verona seven time in the past 15 years. Always stay at Hotel San Luca. It is down a side street , don't be put off by its outside appearance. Going to be there again this year, already booked, Very well located, maybe 2-3 minutes from the main piazza, restaurants and bus hub.
Loads to see and do in Verona and excellent restaurants too.
Ask if you want more info.

How are you travelling in Italy? If train, then from Verona Station it is maybe a 15 minute walk to Hotel San Luca, or you can get a bus to nearby Piazza Bra, or a cab of course.
Verona has the typical red bus scenic tour; there are two routes. They are based in Piazza Bra. Not a bad idea to get on one of these to get a get a tour of Verona.
A restaurant we always go to at least once is Osteria Casa Vino. It is on Vicola Morette, 5 minutes from the hotel. It is very much family run with the Nona very much in charge! Food good, not overpriced in our view. Recommend booking well in advance, and choose inside not outside. See here:

If you are looking to splash out then L'Evangelista is the place to go, it's in the top 10 of Italian restaurants. Located on Via Dietro Listone, off Piazza Bra. Booking essential, and outside is good despite first impressions. See here:

If you haven't booked in Bardolino yet have a look at Hotel Regina Adelaide in Garda, stayed a number of times with and without kids and have always had a great experience. Easy to hire bikes and ride along the lake to Bardolino.

Thanks again for this, the family run restaurant looks great. We're in Verona after Lake Garda ( just the way it fell ) and we'll be arriving in Verona on the bus. I'll have a look at the bus tour, we usually like to do one of these. How are you travelling in Italy? Thanks, the car is Shark Blue. Bardolino is lovely (enjoy the wine!) and riding along the lake path to Garda or Lazise is fun. The ferries are the best way to make longer trips, if you want to visit Gardone etc it's a long way round! S

I recall that the hop on hop off Red Bus Tour has two routes around Verona, both good, although as you are there for a short period one will do you probably.S
We've booked to be in Verona again in June for 4 nights....at Hotel San Luca as usual.
