Anyone gopt any brilliant 5* hotel reccomdations for Bali?
Appreciate the real experience is via backbacking, but i'm too old for all that sh!t haha!

I need pampering. Not in the middle of nowhere. No clubs next door. On a beach!

Looking at August, which i'm led to believe is dry season!

Thanks in advamce.

The Oberoi in Seminyak. https://www.oberoihotels.com/hotels-in-bali/

It's on the beach but has no sunbeds on the beach, none of the hotels do on that stretch.

Looks beautiful but where’s the beach in Ubud?

Ahh didn't read that bit :-) - When we did Bali we didn't to any beaches - I use Thailand for that. Sea seemed a bit rough and we didn't go anywhere near Aussi land beach.

Yeah, you don't go to Bali for the a "proper" beach holiday. But Lombok would be the best option close to Bali.

We did but they weren’t anything to write home about.

There’s a chap on here who lives in Bali isn’t there? Hopefully he’ll pop along shortly and offer a beach suggestion because yeah Kuta is Aussie Magaluf.

We went to Nusa Dua last September and stayed at the Melia, that has just reopened after extensive renovations. There is a string of 5 star places there on a nice stretch of beach. Not a lot else though, and certainty not the collection of bars etc in other areas. We enjoyed it as a chill out though, but traffic in the island is a real disincentive to trips out and about. Second week we went to Gili T, and that was great.

We went to Bali in August 2024 and stayed in Seminyak, Lombok and Ubud as a multi destination holiday with Tui.

We stayed at Qunci Villas in Lombok ( https://quncivillas.com/en ) which is rated 5star and is on the beach. Might fall down on the middle of nowhere bit, but other than that a great place to stay.
