Montenegro and car hire
Discussion
Flying to Montenegro in March for a week, only booked flights so far and rough plans are to hire a car and (maybe) spend a couple of days in Kotor, couple of days in Perast and drive over to Dubrovnik for a couple of days.
For anyone that has been are there any places you think are worth considering or must see's? either places or attractions?
Looking at car hire it seems insanely cheap, like under £10 for 7 days hire! which seems crazy, again does anyone have any experience with hiring a car in Montenegro?
Any comments appreciated.

Haven’t hired in Montenegro, but you’ll have to pay extra for cross border use to take into Croatia. Kotor and Dubrovnik are both great to visit in March. Will be peaceful. Won’t be as much open as in the season, but there will be enough. For anyone that has been are there any places you think are worth considering or must see's? either places or attractions?

I asked the same question here a couple of years ago, and someone suggested https://www.terraecar.com/. We used them and opted for the full, no questions asked policy, and will be using them again this year.
One of the reasons I chose them was they had a Yaris automatic, which is what I drive, so I could concentrate on avoiding the local manic drivers (but they're not as bad as I'd been told).
The FAQs on the website mention cross-border use, so it should be possible.

Thanks, I had seen that thread and had a read but they seemed to mainly be talking about, Sardinia and Italy. We hired a car last year in Albania with no problems so was just seeing if anyone had any experience in Montenegro and who they would recommend or avoid.flyingvisit said:

, which probably isn't very helpful. But my wife, who's been there a few times, rates Kotor highly.
