Barcelona food - thanks in advance
Discussion
Im going to Barcelona with the missus next month
We both 'do' food and would welcome recommendations
A slight snag is that FCB have a home game on one of our booked nights
Hence we should probably make some advance reservations
We'd be very grateful for recs in the following categories:
Posh but not £££ Michelin stars
Really nice
Decent treat restaurant
First night arrival at 10pm, tapas sounds good
Our hotel is pretty central
Cheers

Quite touristy and surrounded by pickpockets, but a great experience and they do a cracking steak.
(At least they did 20 years ago)

Cuitat Comtal is a good choice for late night tapas. It s quite touristy as it s in a lot of guidebooks/blogs but it s good. I think Cerverseria Catalana is owned by the same people, also worth a look, both open till 1am. Barceloneta also has lots of cheap places that are good for seafood in particular, Montolio Can Maño, La Cova Fumada etc. I m not sure Barcelona being at home will make too much of a difference but always worth booking places at the weekend anyway

Went to that one last week. Gets a thumbs up from me!Another really good one we went to was Restaurant la Bellvitja which is on C' de L'Hospital off Ramblas
One to DEFINITELY avoid, La Fonda. dismal.
As close to having a religious experience as I have come https://2254tapasbarcelona.com
Can I second Tragaluz. An excellent restuarant we visited a few days after the Queen of Spain had been there. Both the food and the atmosphere was great.
There is also the scruffy old absinthe bar a haunt of Ernest Hemmingway called Bar Marsella worth a look and a drink of the absinthe
