The Citroën AX is turning 40!

As such, the French Citroën AX club are making an event of it just outside of Nantes in a couple of weeks.

Prior to that I will attempt to drive my 1987 AX TRE all the way there, but I am wondering if there are any must see sights or roads for a motoring enthusiast on the way. Anything between and around points A through C would be of interest.

Unfortunately the Le Mans museum is closed, but I have been before so not the end of the world.

I would be tempted to change your return ferry crossing to St. Malo, which together with neighbouring Dinard is well worth an overnight stay.

Try finding the original d100 route national it's a fantastic road that fits from vaguely Calais all the way down south. It's been bypassed many times but you can find it on old maps and bits of it are still signposted.
