"Click & Boat" / Boat experiences in general
Discussion
Has anyone heard or used of Click and Boat? I am planning on booking a private tour as we have failed 2 years in a row now to get our asses in gear and organise something. We are returning to Split this year so that will be the location. I kow e can walk up to the harbour options and book when we are there but I have found the below experience on Click and Boat and am considering it. I am just a little unsure about the site, looks like a boat Airbnb and I am sceptical to pay now for something 2 months away e.t.c. This one is 950 euros plus 200 skipper plus 200 fuel.

Any advice about the site or booking a tour in general? It needs to be decent, and private - budget is £600 - £1200 but might go upwards if worth it.

I've seen Click and Boat a lot - I sense it is a bit of a screenscraper website and I would think 10 minutes of Google-fu will find the actual operator (hold my beer)
You may get more luck with some of the boaters here: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
ETA: looks like this crowd.: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g295...
their direct site: https://paradise-charter.com/en
Pick up the phone and sound them out?

After my one experience of using Click & Boat (renting an 8m powerboat for the day under an ICC permit) in Ibiza, I have since only ever gone direct to rental/charter companies or individuals.
Apart from the poor experience and quality with the boat itself, and the local company, the minute we had paid Click & Boat and they had passed us over, i didnt hear anything more from them. This was after several proactive phone calls from our 'personal broker', and loads of online messaging discussing the boat, the rental, and our requirements. This gave me quite a good feeling at first. However, that personal service disappeared the moment we confirmed the booking. And I received zero acknowledgement or response to my feedback. I would avoid....

Shame as I hadn’t heard of it before and just stuck some details in to hire something similar for next week as we were planning on hitting the water. The prices were much more competitive than the direct suppliers.

But as my post and above : internet sleuth and go direct to a local who will want your custom, as per the link
Agree with this. Searching through local recommendations if you join an English speakinf Facebook local tourist group for Split area or Croatia is a useful step too. Weve booked some trips using Viato, but again found the suppliers main website or contact details and try and go direct.Just as an example... we're in Ibiza in mid July and the family want to do a day's 'sailing' on a skippered catamaran or suchlike to Formantera/Ses Illetes etc. Viator has a few good range of examples from fairly basic to full drinks, food and and DJ packages. I've just contacted one of the operators who immediately knocked £120 off the day price (about 20% of total) instead of booking through the website.
So worth doing research, shopping around and contacting direct.

I had a bad experience with Click and Boat last month. I booked a sailing boat for 12 people for a day- cost 600 euros. They put me in touch with the owner, who I visited and got on well with, I was happy with his plan for the day, and the boat.
The day before the trip the weather looked like it could be wet - not expected in May in Alicante. The owner got in touch and said he may have to cancel if it was raining, and that I would get a full refund. On the day of the trip he cancelled due to the weather. Click and Boat refunded direct into my account, minus around £113.00. Their fee. They said it could be used as a credit for a future booking in the next 3 months.
I complained as my group were returning to UK and not rebooking. I explained that the trip was cancelled by the owner- not me and that I wanted a full refund. Click and Boat refused. I wont be using them again. I am hoping my bank can organise a charge back.
