Not sure if this is the most appropriate place to post so admins, please move as appropriate!

My daughter and I are going to see System of a Down on Monday 13th July. We're based in Southampton and my usual parking place is Richmond as it's straight up the M3 which turns into the A316 and the car park is right next to the road.

Looking at the options it's going to be around 1hr to get the train into vauxhall, then victoria line to seven sisters and then overland to white hart lane.

That option is showing 1hr 10m, which is a long time on mainly the tube but figure it's still quicker than driving around M25 to somewhere closer!

Does anyone have any suggestions for any better options for us to park and get the train/tube into the stadium?

Thanks

QuattroDave

Or.... park at palace shopping centre, Enfield and get train from enfield to bruce grove station and a 15 minute walk back up to Tottenham stadium?

Or come off the 316 and park at Osterley and take the Pic' then change to the Victoria and walk from Seven Sisters? But I agree, it's a long walk...

The Victoria line to SS then overhead to WHL would likely to be the optimum route for time.
Alternatively, park at another tube station that takes you to London Liverpool street, then catch the overhead train to Enfield Town, but you can get off at WHL.
Just note, the Victoria line trains don't have Aircon, so this long leg of the journey will be pretty unpleasant in this current condition (forecast of 30C + will be around for the next week or so).

The Enfield Town overhead train goes direct to WHL, but it does mean driving around the M25 for you. Also, there is a car park (New River Loop) directly opposite the station (use paybyphone app to pay). Overall longer route, but potentially more comfort (Aircon car and short overhead train journey) than the above option.

Or just get off at White Hart Lane - one stop before Bruce Grove wink

Another roundabout route would be to get the Overground from Richmond towards Stratford. Change from the Mildmay line at Hackney Central to the Weaver line at Hackney Downs (it's easy - there's a walkway connecting them) and get a train towards Enfield Town or Cheshunt. Either would take you to White Hart Lane. All air conditioned, as well!

Probably too late now, but if you were to become a very mediocre footballer, and go up for sale for £100m, they'd fly you in themselves on a private jet.

Spurs fan here. Go by train and tube. Overground from Seven Sisters or 20 min walk up the High Road.
Its not the best part of town so keep your wits about you and you'll be fine.

Thank you all for the options and advice. Even the pro footballer option, which, sadly you're correct insomuch that I've missed the bus on that one!

I like the sound of keeping it overland as much as possible as I'm no fan of the tube, especially long distance tube late at night with an hours drive afterwards!

I dont understand these "long distance tube" references - Vauxhall to Seven Sisters is 22 minutes. It flies particularly after Kings Cross.
That said, if you Overground to Enfield you will find yourself going against the main flow of people so it will be less busy.
Id not heard of the band till last year when a friend asked me to get her some hospitality tickets for Mondays gig. I think she was originally planning on driving but it's really not a stadium you want to drive to.

Drive and park at Power League at Tottenham’s
and then a 10min walk. Costs about £20 on event days.

Missed the last poster!

So as a way to close out the thread I opted for Richmond (known and easy to get to from Southampton - 75 mins), then a nearly empty nicely air conditioned train to Vauxhall, then the travelling oven line to seven sisters where we were all ushered out of the station to the main road as the overground was closed, so managed to get on a bus for the majority of the rest of the way.

On the way back it was a slightly different story, nearly 2 mile power walk back to seven sisters (my 14 year old didn't appreciate that!) then victoria oven line to victoria followed by a pretty much deserted district line to richmond. Ending with a 65 minute drive home.

Was it worth it? Meh, been to better concerts and venues!
