Hi all

Any recommendations for a 5* NYC hotel? Planning 7 nights in oct/nov for me the wife and 4 year old daughter. Anywhere nice, not crazy money, and potentially a bit family friendly would be good. Dates are completely flexible.

Have stayed at intercontinental Barclay and intercontinental Times Square before, but something different may be nice.

Stayed at the New York edition many years ago but is crazy money for a family room sadly.

Thanks in advance

5* and not crazy money?

Good luck with that one.

WTF are you going to do in NYC with a 4-year old for that length of time?

Why are you asking if you want a 5* hotel.

Can't see a week in NY being great with a 4 year old, other than the Central Park Zoo there is f all to do, it's not the place for youngsters.

I suppose it depends on the definition of crazy money.

The tips will cost as much as whole weeks in other cities.

Lots of them are not- £1500 per person per week with British airways holidays inc flights

See friends, go to a couple of shows, do some touristy stuff- if that’s ok with you?!

Yes, I remember the tipping thing. Frustrating, but the reality
