Where to stay - London Stadium

Hi All

Going to a concert in July 2027 at the London stadium.

Any advice on where to stay - ideally jump on the tube and find a cheaper hotel down the line to avoid the £300 a night hotels at Stratford / Westfield but is it a nightmare getting out of there as the crowds flood out ?

I know quite a few people who stay in the Premier Inn in Brentwood (which is the old Amstrad HQ right by the station). Only about 20 mins from Stratford and half the price of similar offerings closer by.

A lot is going to depend on what side of the stadium /akd or gate you’re leaving by and what time ?

A few good questions. 3 of us, so driving is cheaper than the train and probably easier as we would be coming into Waterloo from Southampton area. I’ve done the journey before and parked at Stratford however traffic might be fun on Friday night.

Not sure if I care about spending any time in London the next day but my daughter might!

I can’t see the gate on the ticket unfortunately.

Lots of parking there too. 35 mins train direct to Stratford, 10 mins off J28 M25. You would however have to cross the bridge. Does Abbey Wood make any sense?

If it's a big event, public transport is managed well but just the sheer volume of people will mean tubes etc will be slow to get to. I park at Stratford International car park and thats been fine but again, it can take a little bit to get out, even though there is no barrier, as the surrounding roads are closed off due to all the people. It might be best to wait around for an hour or so after the event finishes and then everything transport wise is back to BAU.
