I need to arrange some travel insurance for going abroad withing europe, however, all the policies i'm finding only cover single personal items upto around £350-£400 per single item.

There will be several induvidual items worth in excess of that amount, how does one get these covered without paying the earth?

Any ideas people?

try your home contents insurer - and tell them what you want as they are covering these items at home. If your contents insurance is due then talk to Hiscox for a quote

As above, you should find that personal belongings on your home insurance should cover something like £1k £1.5k away from home (including Europe and possibly rest of world), and will probably have a single item limit too (circa £500).

Over and above that you can put specified items on your home insurance on an 'all risks' basis that should provide the cover you need.

Your insurance documents and policy book should hold the answer!
