Looks like I might have a Friday or Saturday night in Manchester at the end of this week. Can anyone recommend me somewhere to
a) stay - cheep as possible please, yet still within walking distance of the city centre and with secure parking.
b) go out - kinda rocky bar / club.

Going down to pick up a new car with a friend so the secure / safe parking really is a must.
Thanks guys.

There are several Premier Inns in town. I stayed in one off Deansgate, the MEN Arena/Printworks one postcode M3 5AS. About £65 for the room and with multi storey parking included in the price.

a)Contact Alma at Hotel Solutions.

Tell her Vicky recommended her, she'll sort you out with a fantastic deal.
I'm not affiliated to/with HSUK by the way, Alma is a client of ours.

b) Jilly's Rockworld

If you want Rock but don't know Manchester that well, head for Jilly's.
It's the most well known and popular place rather than searching around for something a bit more specialised. smile

I used to like 42nd St for a indie/rock night. Was never a fan of 5th Ave though.

a] the travelodge at 22, great ancoats street. cheap, very easy to find if you don't know the city [one road all the way from the m62] and next to all the decent bars ion the northern quarter.

b] not jillys - unless you have a thing for greasy gimps in floor length leather coats and/or teenage goths.

I'd avoid it like the plague this weekend unless you like cock in a frock wink

Luckily I'll be well away from it all wink
