I've decided to go to Monza for the GP in september, the plan is to drive, but it looks tricky.

Can you suggest the best routes to take and the easiest way of traveling there.

thanks in advance!

Thats fantastic, thanks very much for that.

what sort of time would you suggest to get to the track? saying that the race started at 13:00, this will ultimatly decide the method of transport.

Also where would you suggest is the best place to stay, considering i'm on a pretty tight budget.

just got back for milan and went to monza and i got the train which was quite easy! only thing is try and get a bus from the train station as we walked and it's a long way lol
if you need a hotel in milan i can recomend the ata hotel enough. we stayed there with jeventus football club so if its good enough for them i recon most would be pleased with it! quite cheap to.

I did the Monza GP in 2006, we drove down through Germany and the Alps, can't remember the route, but it took roughly 11 hours from the Nurburgring.

Camping was easy and cheap, we arrived at midnight, with no accomodation booked, followed the SatNav to the circuit, and literally 200yards down the road was a campsite(field), we paid the man on the gate a nominal fee, set up the tents, job done.

despite being a field and very basic there were toilets and showers, and all were clean etc.
