Short break driving holidays in France - where to go?
Discussion
I've been thinking of taking a couple of days (Sunday to Tuesday) and doing a little touring holiday in France in the next couple of weeks with the good lady. The problem is I've never toured northern France and as we've only got two nights away don't really have time to head to the south. I've pretty much covered all the chunnel and legal requirements so know enough of that so, if you'll indulge my questions I'd thought I'd ask the collective PH wisdom..
Firstly, where to go? What nice roads, scenery, towns and villages would you recommend? Routes basically..
Places to stop for lunch and dinner? Any that you really shouldn't miss?
Decent B&B's or hotels that you would recommend? We're only there two nights and fancy a couple of different places.
We're in no great rush, not on a budget (though I am a Yorkshireman so 'good value' appreciated
) and any other hints and tips would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
