Camping around Geneva

We're looking at going there for a long walking weekend and having looked at a few campsites online we're very tempted to just rough camp on the mountains. Has anyone tried this or got any experience of camping near Geneva. I cant find on the web if camping's allowed on the mountains or not.

Its illegal to camp outside of designated areas in Switzerland. Being Switzerland its probably fairly likely someone is employed to catch you.Gassing Station | Holidays & Travel | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
