Ireland - Car Hire

Off to Ireland for a week at the beginning of September, and after hiring a Focus Sized car... .Last time, we hired a Seat Leon for a very good internet price only for it almost to be doubled when we added additional insurance (to cover a £1500 Excess) and an additional driver.... Any recommendations for car hire where the price is inclusive of ALL extras so no hidden charges are found upon pickup?
