Do not go via Ketama (N8,509,N2) Bad roads and was full of dodgy drug dealer types trying to stop you. Great Rif Mountain scenery though!

It took all day to get from Chefchaouen to Fez. Arrived in darkness and the Fez traffic is a fking nightmare.

N13 route maybe better.. 4hrs?

ETA This site says it's 315km
