I would be absolutely sure it's more than 15%, Google is often wrong? The demographics of the UK suggest that we have a very ageing population, and I'm guessing most of them have not traveled abroad.
Enjoy your greasy cafe in China, I can assure you that the food you are/will be eating is a squillion times more tasty than what most people will be eating here in blighty.
I like greasy cafes in China. There is one in Shangai's suberbs that only serves intestines, and I go every time I visit. I am jealous.

I dunno. A week/fortnight on the Costa is pretty much a staple. As are booze cruises.Ireland probably counts in that statistic too.
I can't verify the accuracy or not of 15% but I only know of one person in my list of acquaintances, friends, family, enemies and colleagues who has never travelled outside UK shores, and that person has been to Jersey. If that counts as outside UK then I know of nobody.
be interesting for a comparative figure for USA, bet that is a LOT higher than 15%.

15% wouldn't supprise me sometimes...living up in North Wales I'm often shocked by how far some people don't travel, Anglesey comes to my mind, it about 30 miles square island with 2 bridges connecting to main land Wales (if you didn't know) and some of the older population have not come off the island since they were born!!!
