Looking to go for a 3night break with my OH.

Any recommendations?

Looked through google, lots of choice, bit too much for a first timer to know whats decent and what isnt.

Any tips?

"This vessel will not pass under Potter Higham Bridge."

If this sticker is on the helm, ignore it at your peril.

Used to have a boat on there years ago on the basis that it the weather was too lousy to go out to sea then could tool around for the weekend on the river. Sold it to go offshore.

For you
first time, short break, = Northern rivers.
Book a boat with two bogs, 'er indoors will not be impressed if you block the single toilet.

Hoseasons

Put the dates you want to go and it will come up with a short list.
You'll see some yards starting to discount, but not many it's been busy this year.
Some hireyards are reliable, some are idiots.

OK
Richardsons Stalham
BridgeCraft Acle
WhisperingReeds Hickling
DRL marine Ludham
Royalls Wroxham

Variable
BarnesBrinkcraft Wroxham

Unable to recommend
Herbert Woods Potter H

New Operator with fairly fancy boats
Le Boat, (was Connoisseur) vv expensive Wroxham / Horning?

Problem is you'll find people who swear by one yard, and others who only swear at the very same yard.

Some websites that may help

http://www.thenorfolkbroads.net/phpBB3/index.php << waterborne version of PH, with pipe and slippers though. smile
But you'll get good advice nevertheless.

http://www.the-norfolk-broads.co.uk/ << bit slow and nerdy but of use.

Barnes Brinkcraft - we've been going pretty much every year for the last 10 years or so (Yeah, sad I know - but the complete antithesis to where I am right now - I don't want a beach holiday !)

Speak to Margaret at Barnes Brinkcraft, she'll sort you out.
