Les Deux Alpes has a good snow record that time of year, plus being a glacier resort there's always somewhere to ski.

I am slightly biased though! (See profile)

Depending on budget you could probably do a lot worse that looking to see if you can get a good deal in the 3valleys with an operator who help on the kids front. I'd speak to people like skiline, iglu etc.

With it being a full week the slightly longer transfer from the airport isn't so painful. For that time of year, if it is bad start to the winter, some resorts will be only just getting the runs open, 3V will be largely up and running by then. Having said that, the last few years have seen good early snow, particularly last year, and by boxing day there was good skiing pretty much anywhere.

For a more informed, detailed answer more info is required. Age of kids, standard of skiing across the party, whether ski-in-ski out is essential, how important some people value 'rustic alpine charm.' If you are prepared to do without the latter, Avoriaz in the PdS offers a very low stress option for a week skiing with the kids and will defo have good snow by then.
