Just a heads up, I work with B.A. and Continental and coming soon they will be dropping their allowance on a council spec ticket from two to one suitcases over the Atlantic.

I think if they both have the balls to do it others will be following as well, although the bearded one will no doubt see this a brilliant news and up the allowance to three bags.

If you've already bought your ticket and you leave in the future you'll be fine, if you are planning to book and want to do some shopping you can always pay for an extra bag beforehand rather than getting your wallet out at check in.

African routes will remain at two bags forever I think.

Is it that much of a problem? I've just arrived in Hong Kong, im here for 12 months and i've managed to fit pretty much everything I need for that period in a single suitcase weighing about 23kg.

You're male right ?

A lot of passengers have a fair old shop in the States and fill a suitcase quite easily.

She really is as thick as people make out then?

I'm not quite sure how Continental will make that stick within the rules of Star Alliance - especially for us Gold types...

It'll be at the same time as the Continental switch over to Star Alliance. A Gold card will be a mimimum of two bags, but I wouldn't be suprised if it's three
