I would suggest getting a decent Barcelona guide book (plenty on Amazon to choose from).
The main Gaudi houses are within easy walking distance of each other. Make sure you visit La Pedrera & Casa Battlo. Then there's Gaudi's house in Parc Guell, and the park itself, which is very nice but gets overrun with souvenir sellers.
I assume you'll be going to the Sagrada Familia (Gaudi's as yet unfinished cathedral). If so, try to get there at opening time, and then head straight for the lift before a queue forms.
Most of the main sites have audio guides which tell the story as you walk round.
Don't forget that there's plenty of other stuff to see apart from the Gaudi sites. There was a thread some time ago on Barcelona, which you be able to find using the search facility.
If it's of any use, we stayed at the Murmuri (nice little boutique hotel near the top end of the Rambla de Catalunya).
