Just a quick bit of advice needed please.. Taking a friend to central London tomorrow daytime to show them round abit and a little shopping.. What's the best idea, park out of London and get the tube? Or find parking in the centre?

Any suggestions for either too please?

Many thanks!

Even though it's a saturday, I'd say get the tube in.

depends where you're coming from

if you're going to Oxford Street you can park in Albany St for free and get the Victoria Line from Warren St or even walk (it's about 20 mins on foot)

Definitely catch the tube, no question. Tube or Overland in. Hope the weather is good, this afternoon was miserable.

If you are coming from Guildford then get the overland to Waterloo and from there most places are accessible.

If you decide to drive there's an NCP on Poland St, just off Oxford St. It's pricey but v handy if you're going to be laden with bags at the end of the day compared to the train/tube.

If you want to do something a bit out of the ordinary - you could go to see the Anish Kapoor exhibition:

Get the tube in, and give that new shopping centre 'Westfield' a go in Shepards Bush
