Well it all depends...

If your going with the Mrs, then I would recommend Charles Bridge at night, there are some horse drawn carriages, that sort of thing.... All very cheap, but watch your pockets...

If your NOT with the other half, I can't recomment 'Darlings' enough. It's a gentleman's venue, and worth every penny... About a tenner to get in, then cheap drinks at the bar, and no pressure to spend... A great place for a lad's break!

Take thermals, it is likely to be stupidly cold, do the Charles Bridge, Wensleslas square, Jewish Quater, the Castle and the Cathedral, The open topped skodas are fun too, then window shop the boutiques.

Great, some things to be getting on with there.

Fortunately my beautiful new wife of three months is coming with me on this trip, so a salubrious night at Darlings it not on the cards.

any more tips....

Jazz music bars... great atmosphere good music, do tend to get very busy especially as there will be no outside seating.
OH like crystal glass? Fantastic shopping opportunity but very heavy for return flight.
Dancing house, Frank Gehry early work from the Bilboa Guggenheim architect.
State Opera, an event nothing like the cost of London.
Enjoy.

Beware the Taxis, lots of dodgy ones, and even lots of the official ones are crooks.

Most of the stuff already mentioned, but I'll just add one place:

http://www.thepubworld.com/en/

Each table has it's own tap on and you pour your own beer. There's a league on a big screen and you compare consumption (compete) with other tables. You also compete, as a pub, with other locations. The beer is good value and it's definitely unique.

Before you ask, we started in last place and by the end of the evening we were still last. Even lost to a table of 3 German girls. Thank God this place in anonymous (kinda).
