The lads and I (4 in total) are struggling to think of a new holiday destination.

we usually go for a laugh, see new sights and things, not necessarily to get drunk and laid.

We are all 22 and below.

Any ideas on destinations?

Walk the Pennine Way. You'll see some great scenery. Two weeks should be easily possible for lads of 22 or so.

Done most of the good roads in the alps
morocco
egypt

spain
china
thailand
malaysia/singapore

Can afford maybe £1500 each person tops?

I guess Japan, Australia and South America seem obvious choices

Kenya. Stayed in a 5* hotel in Mombasa half-board last Feb for 8 days about£900pp including flights. 2 day safari on top was about £100pp. You could stay longer or do more stuff if you stayed in cheaper accomodation. Try Virgin holidays or check out the Tripadvisor forums. Avoid African Safari Club.

How about South Africa? Many many years ago, myself and three friends flew to Jo'Berg and spent a few days on a Game Reserve, then stayed at Sun City (Casino & Theme park type place) then flew down to Cape Town then drove along the south coast to Port Elizabeth. Things we got up to include:

Cage Diving with Great White Sharks in Gans Bay - an experience I will never forget
Sufing (bodyboarding actually) at Jeffries Bay - a world class Surf beach
Completing the longest Freefall abseil in Africa
Mountain Biking
Tubing down rapids
Lots of beer and good food

We were there for just over three weeks, but could easily just do the south coast in far less.

Or how about Iceland - I'm there every year and it's fantastic. Now is a very cheap time to go because of the currency rates. Lots of good bars and nightclubs and plenty of pertolhead stuff to do during the daytime. Unless you start traveling into the country probably 1 week would be more than enough.

No. But 5* means different things all over the world. As does "service" and "punctuality". The hotel we stayed in I would rate (by UK standards) as 4* for standard of room, 4* for standard of food, 5* for facilities and number of flunkies on hand to attend to your every whim, 6* for friendliness of staff. There are places for nights out in Mombasa if you pick carefully.
