Time to invade the Ice Planet of Hoth
Discussion
This year’s snowboard trip will be to the Ice planet of Hoth i.e. (Whistler Blackcomb) in Canada, so I have decided to go suitably attired. Being an old bloke and prone to breaking bits of myself I have decided to trade in my old Burton helmet for a new Stormtrooper style snowboard lid from RuRoc who are a Brit company. At £145 quid these things are not cheap but the quality is very good and I love the way the helmet, goggles and chin guard all fit together so well.
Some of you may recognise this helmet as the pit crews of the F1 teams of McLaren, Force India, and Red Bull teams all use the fireproof versions of the same helmet so they must be pretty good. See what you think

Thats not you trying it on is it?
If you are refering to the second pic that is my arm and not my neck, I know I need to loose some weight but not that much.On a related note, with the up and coming season nearly upon us I decided with a mate to get a little coaching on my freestyle technique over the weekend so popped up to the Hemel Snow Dome and one of the Maverix courses. I have to say they were very good and were able to give a number of pointers that improved my style and technique. I also learned a couple of new tricks which was great. Here are a couple of pics they took of me. Note the old helmet
Please be aware that I am nearly 49 so be kind:
