Mauritius - what to see and do?

Off to Mauritius at the end of November - courtesy of my frequent flier miles.

We'll be staying in the NE area but will hire a car for a few days - so what are the must see sights?

Looking forward to the first class trip back!

Apart from beaches and diving in the North in particular, there's surfing on the West coast. The sights are the mountains, Ile des Cerfs and Trou des Biches.
