Anyone know any good sites to look at. We're hoping for something on the Ile de Ré next September but anywhere on that stretch of coast will do.

We've used these guys before:

http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/France/r31.htm

You can set out in some detail what features you want.

eta loads to choose from here Bill:

http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/ile-de-re/s/14987...

Some would allow you to accommodate any infants you're planning on taking in a separate annexe...

Usual suspects: Bowhills, Brittany Ferries, French Life, French Country Cottages, Gites De France.

Avoid the west coast of the Ile de Re - it mostly lies under piles of rotting seaweed.

Maybe too late, but there is are some beautiful lakes with manmade beaches and watersports about an hour's drive from www.ourhouseinaveyron.co.uk. It also has a river frontage with glorious valley views from the balcony and garden.
