Whats the fuss?

Just had a return flight to Morocco and it was absolutely fine. Bang on time, no fuss, £110 return from Bristol.

It seems to me the only people who get the arse with them are the ones who dont bother to read the small print....

If you transported cattle under such conditions as the last (and i mean last) time i had the misfortune of flying with them, im sure you would be prosecuted.

I would rather drag my bare arse over broken glass to get to my destination than fly with them.

I've just booked return flights to Dublin for £20, which was £60 cheaper than anyone else....

and meant I could book a return flight a few days later in case I change my mind and stay out there a bit longer wink

Yeah its cramped but you sort of take it for granted dont you? I mean standard economy seats on other airlines are hardly spacious...

I use them twice a week, every week!

They are usually on-time but i really dont like them!

The guy in charge puts him self accross like a moron. The company colors are horrible. They dont allocate seat numbers. They continually try to sell you stuff. The seats dont go back - and are in an uncomfortable position as standard (to prevent sleep i think - so your awake and might buy stuff).

Yes they are cheap but i would rather travel with any other airline - to me they are the worst! If i had another alternative i would pay more!

I have to say the colour scheme is horrific, cant be condusive to relaxed travelling.

Not so sure, i flew with BMI last year and it was comfy, staff polite, and generally quite pleasant if im honest.

Ryanair appears to be staffed by morons.

Or rather, rude morons

If you forget to print your boarding pass at home airport check-in is 40 quid each way!

I think luggage thats not paid for in advance is 30 quid and the way their staff enforce the 1 bad policy is stupid!

I can agree that everyone taking many bags as hand luggage is a bad idea but ive seen people with two small bags - together far under the normal 1 bag size - denied boarding. If they had a carrier bag with them, they could have put their two small bags in 1 normal ASDA bag and been allowed to board......but they didnt and were not able to board the flight (they could have left one bag behind - but chose not to)!

We're flying to Munich in a few weeks and training it to Salzburg, just so we don't have to fly Ryanair to Salzburg. OK we are on Aer Lingus, which is partially owned by Ryanair, but the fair was cheap enough.

I can't fault the timekeeping - I've never been late on a Ryanair flight apart from once, which was about 20 mins.

But it's just so cheap and nasty and I object to a company who's ethos is to openly screw me as much as possible and be so brazen about it.

Leary laughs with his maniacal cackle that if I follow the procedures it'll be so much cheaper and, to an extent, I can fit in with him.
If I travel Ryanair I don't need hold luggage. I can book online and print my ticket (I actually prefer doing this) People seem to forget that they're not trying to get families of four going to Menorca on their 2 week holiday - they want business travellers.

But given the choice I'd fly anyone else just because of their attitude. They are the jobsworth traffic wardens and HSE inspectors of the skies - a company who you wouldn't piss on if they were on fire.

I used them this year. Cheap flight to Spain and back, quick and easy boarding, quick take off, and on time, comfortable enough seats, pleasant attendants, flight was fine, landing was fine, and I was disembarking within 5 minutes each side. Not one problem.

Yes they make their prices up on a daily basis, all the extra costs and taxes make a simple task of getting an all in price very difficult, and yes I despise the O'Leary crew purely because they come across as mongs, but based on my experience I'd use them again, as long as they were cheaper all in than the competition.

i must be lucky, every low cost flight i've been on [inc half a dozen or so returns with ryanair] has been on time. i can't complain about anything as long as its under 4hrs flight time.

ryanair's worst fault is that horrendous colour scheme. as i use low cost for weekends away with friends, its the last thing you want to see after an end of holiday all nighter.

I think the fuss is there are often better options, if you are travelling with luggage the extra cost (if any) of travelling with a different airline are worth it generally.

As a rule of thumb, I don't like to fly on flights where people clap when they land. That's whats supposed to happen.

I agree with that. I use Ryanair for short trips and usually when I'll only be there a few days. I always take my luggage in a carry on bag only and for 2-3 hours I don't really mind which seat I end up in. Never been on a full Ryanair flight though so always had enough room. I agree you are playing a bit of a game to avoid the various charges and stealth payments though which isn't really on!

When will people realise that they're only nearly always on-time because they put in a huge contingency on their flight times. It's bollux.
