Luxury spa weekend

Thornbury Castle is lovely - I've stayed there and although they don't have a full spa, they do offer a variety of treatments.
Venue is great and you can stay in the Dukes Bedroom which is where King Henry the 8th stayed with Anne Boylen, so some history as well.

We've been to The losehill House Hotel in The Peak District a couple of times, but before it was a spa hotel. Nice area, nice food.
It may be a litte further South than you would like (New Forest) but Chewton Glen is very good...

If you are prepared to come south then Pennyhill Park would get my vote, great hotel and food plus best spa I have visited.
