London to Bologna

Toying with idea of driving to Bologna for Christmas (rather than flying). What would be the best route (in terms of time : not interested in scenic routes!)

Thanks - I'm aware of route finders such as this but I want actual experience of the best route given the time of year etc and not just what a bit of software thinks is the best route!!

Fair enough. But Michelin is good because it let's you know how much the tolls will cost, and they can certainly add up as you drive through France! Don't forget the Swiss vignette as well.
