Possible wedding date

This might not be the right board to put this on but hols & travel seemed to be the best one (ie Honeymoon's etc)

I'm looking for opinions on proposed wedding date.

If you were going to a wedding the last Saturday before Xmas would this inconvenience you at all?

Would it be any better or worse than any other date in the year? e.g. Easter Saturday?

Yes, and expect it to rain.

Get married in the summer or at least somewhere hot in winter.

It will be cheaper to get the venue, but the weather could be rubbish.

You have to make sure you have a venue that means you can spend the whole day indoors if the weather is cold.

There's a reason people get married in the summer. If you want all your wedding pictures to be indoors then December is fine...

And the venue may well be decked out with tinsel and holly... oh, and getting an anniversary card in the future will be a right bi**h, as all you can find is Xmas cards.

We got married on the 27th November - one of the main reasons being that the honeymoon allowed us to visit the Maldives at the beginning of the dry season (allegedly...).

We took the view that the weather didn't matter as we would expect it to be wet, in the end we got 10oC and clear skies. Married at 3pm, and straight out for photos before the light failed
