group of 9 of us flying to LA on 29th December from Heathrow. Obviously we are worried that it may be cancelled. Is anyone else flying BA over the strike period and if so have you had your flight cancelled or changed?

I'm in the Travel Industry. No announcements from BA on specific cancellations as yet however their entire worldwide scheduling has been suspended from sale for the period of the strike (Dec 22nd - Jan 2nd). I'm pretty sure that some BA aircraft will be in the sky during these dates and it's most likely going to be the money-earning long-haul services (OZ,LAX,SFO,HKG etc.) that will be chosen. Extremely likely that UK domestic and European services will be worst hit/cancelled completely.

Absolute muppets.

Yep, flying back from St Lucia on 29th as a 6. Pleased to see the strike has now been called off, but will avoid BA in the future as the worry has been too much. However, did get an email from them yesterday handing over 25,000 BA miles as a gesture of good will, so all ending up OK!

Thanks, very helpful. I'm on WT airmiles tickets for this trip which would explain it - although on Gold Guest List which one would have thought might have an influence.

I got 10k too, gold card holder and only travelling from BCN to the UK. A nice gesture, but can they really afford it given it´s a return flight in Europe for free? I know it supports the brand, but I would have said that it was a challenge to keep the business afloat without giving free flights away

It seems that status doesn't make any difference. It's a nice gesture anyway...

...and the 25k already credited to the account, so pretty speedy.
