Goa or Kerala? - Trip to India next March
Discussion
Right then
... The other half and I are planning a couple of weeks in India for my 30th next March, we plan to spend a week seeing all the obvious bits at the top of the country and then head further south for a more chilled out week but still with some cool stuff to do
So, has anyone been to either Goa or Kerala, or preferably both and what did you think of these areas/ what did you do there? Any ideas as to good/ bad hotels would also be appreciated
Thanks in advance,
Rob

Late reply, sorry.
Two weeks is no time in India. Or even a bit of India.
A few years ago we did 5 weeks , with several weeks in Kerela.
Cochin, Brunton Boadyard. Very nice.
Periyar wildlife sanctuary. Boring, and the hotel is nothing special. Wish we had gone to Coconut Lagoon instead.
Spice Village, good.
"Backwater" boat trip from Allepo. Spent a fgew days crusing about, loved it.
Kovalum beach. Cant remember the hotel, just passing through.
Bangaram Island. Utterly fab, but quite complicated to get to !
Spent some time in Coorg too. Very different, and totally untouristed. Although Kerela isn't particularly touristy.
Whilst there are some lovely places in Kerala, it isn't as developed as Goa. Depends what you are after.
