Ski Angels - Shin protectors.. Any good?

Whenever I ski, a few days into the holiday, my shins are covered in bruises and often a nice big lump or two, making the remaining days of the holiday a painful skiing experience,

now, I have come across these Ski Angel protectors, that apparently will keep my shins in order

has anyone any experience of them? do they work?

Silly question, but what's wrong with £5 shin pads from Argos? (See football section.) I used them when I did half pipe and vert ramp in skateparks.

Either your boots don't fit properly, or you need to spend less time on the slalom course hitting those gates!
