You're over selling yourself. China is a worthy suggestion, though mostly cold at the moment. I'd come to Thailand or elsewhere in SE Asia - you could have a nice time with that money for a few months.

Do you have a degree? If so, teaching English in Asia is fun. I'm doing that at the moment.

If you are under 30 then the working holiday schemes in Australia and New Zealand are a possibility. I had a good time in Australia and a pretty dull year in NZ, but many people love NZ too.

Don't think too hard about it. Just see where you can get a cheap flight to and go. Most of the world has it's good and bad points but often a change of scenery is a worthwhile thing in it's own right.

I'd agree 100% with this. You have time and money....jsut get on a flight somewhere, and see what happens. Worst case scenario, you'll have a great holiday!

Yep, spent a bit of time in Thailand and Cambodia last year, well worth it. Want to go back and see Vietnam and surrounding areas.

Cheap too so you can stay longer.

(Visa)You just leave and go back in again.

Also try Hongkong and Taiwan for English teaching.

Lots of people teaching there without degrees.

With a bit of luck the school will also get you a work permit.

Film extra work also available in Hongkong. Will pay some of the rent.

If I was in your situation I'd just get on a plane and go. Leave most of your money back home and use a debit card to draw on it.

Study the Lonely Planet guides and join some online backpackers forums.
It's a doddle really. smile
