Going to Buxton (don't ask) for a couple of days between Christmas and New Year. Right in the Peak District and good for exploring so I am told.

Would like to arrange at least one decent 'attraction' to visit over the couple of days so if anyone has any ideas, do tell biggrin

Well, I have just booked tickets for Dick Wittington at the Buxton Opera House.

Where is nice to go for a meal in the evening?

Poole's Cavern worth a visit?

Heights of Abraham is closed unfortunately.

The biggest attraction for a PH'r is probably the A537 Cat and Fiddle road.

Once went to see some banger racing in somewhere just outside of town - Buxton Raceway - up a big hill (there's quite a few there I will admit) - great fun. Website is down, so couldn't tell you if any fixtures this time of year.
