Heathrow airport - overnight?
Discussion
It's for my Dad, he won't book a hotel (believe me I've tried!) - my concern is that he'll get kicked out in the cold - he says he's happy sitting on the floor...
Please don't tell me how daft this is, even I'm bored with the sound of my own voice on the subject, I just want to be clear about whether he's going to get booted out as if he is I'll have to have another go at persuading him to go to a hotel...

Your flight probably won't open for checkin until -2hours or thereabouts, so you will be stuck landside as they say until then. All stuff tends to close at 22:00 or (Wetherspoons) after last flight.
From the Heathrow website:
Where can I sleep overnight?
Don’t forget, there is nowhere to sleep in the airport. If your booking includes a stopover in a local hotel, then follow the signs to Arrivals – leave the airport via passport control, baggage reclaim and customs and then check in as normal the following day.

Oh God that looks horrendous! His flight is at 8.55am and he has to be there 3 hours ahead. Piglet said:

I know he says he won't book a hotel, but just in case, my parents always use the Travelodge with a courtesy bus service - usually about £30. Surely he'd go for that...?Please don't tell me how daft this is, even I'm bored with the sound of my own voice on the subject, I just want to be clear about whether he's going to get booted out as if he is I'll have to have another go at persuading him to go to a hotel...
