Day out in the UK?

anyone got any ideas for something good to do? we're gonna jump in the car now and drive somewhere, lookign for somewhere good to go that we can spend a day tomorrow then tomorrow night in a local hotel. I'm base dnear London, bu don't mind doing a good few hours driving.

Odd thread; talk about no notice.

No idea if they are open tomorrow, but I'd suggest Monument and The Tower, and maybe The Tower Bridge Experience (main entrance is shut due to renovations, but it seemed open). Decent restaurants nearby, too, both for kids and adults. And parking, if you need it.
