Cheap European 3 day break?

I want to take my girlfriend of 7 years away in Feb/March for our anniversary for a few days somewhere, but I can't think of anywhere nice.

My budget is around £300 each, and I just want somewhere fun and lively to spend a few days..

Any ideas? Deals? Reccomendations?

BA are doing special deals until end of Feb. For example, Berlin for 3 nights (3*/4*) inc flight & taxes £189 - that's bloody good value! Berlin's a fantastic city. Probably be a bit cold but it's kind of part of the place anyway. Loads of other destinations in Europe well below £300.

Funny you should mention the BA sale and Berlin, that was exactly what I had been looking at!

Definately a strong contender, looks like a cool city.

Hard to know where to start but don't plan on seeing everything in 3 days, plan a few return visits. Best thing to do is by a Rough Guide to Berlin/Germany. Hamburg is another great city to visit - I go there several times a year because I have friends there. I didn't see that on the BA offers but maybe on with someone else or try booking flights seperately and then using www.hrs.com for hotels, great site for hotel bookings, I use them all the time.
