Need to get away for a holiday mid Fed. Somewhere where it is easy to get around and meet people and there are lots to do. So any ideas? Would love to see the Northen Lights, but these are looking pretty pricey. I have not got much money to splash, so as cheap as possible.

Not sure about skiing, I dislocated my knee earlier this year and am still getting niggles from it. I have never skied but would think this would put alot of pressure on the knees, which I want to avoid at the moment.

Long weekend in a European city?
I went to Milan on my own once for a weekend (broke up with gf, so seat was free and RyanAir charges to change for a friend were wayyy more than flights!), had a pretty good time.
Went out for dinner with the girl I sat next to on the plane a few times as well, which was nice!

I went to Barcelona a while back on my own. Had a couple of days paid holiday offered by work during a take-over so decided to just go straight away!

Slovenia is a good call, been meaning to go for ages but not quite got round to it yet. Enjoyed Croatia too, but not really the high season in February.
