Need to stay in Manchester Sat night - 16th Jan. Can someone recommend a good hotel with safe parking? Price not a consideration.

Thanks!

Novotel Portland street( Next to China Town.). Nice and warm underground and well lit and smells of chinese food....It's called Q park and is down a very small side street. easy to miss.

The Lowry car park is full of exotica and protected by a knee high hedge.

The Renaissance isn't as flashy but has a car park within a public car park underneath it, quite safe.

The suites on top have a good view over the city with floor to ceiling windows, I haven't stayed anywhere else to comment though.

Money no option and you come up with the Novatel, if you like a room where the mattress is stuck on top of sheet of Ply board way to go. Otherwise the Lowry or Mal, love the cinema rooms in the Mal. Good value as well, about 260 a night, very boudoir though but if you hope to pull as you say and tell her you are staying in the Mal you have a lot more chance of her coming along for the ride so to speak. biggrin

Especially in Manchester, most of the girls in that city are impressed by an MX5 and carry out kebab. biggrin

I quite like the Lowry - not stayed there but had a few meetings. Bit of a trek from town though - if you intended to walk back.

No parking at the Mal - you have to use an NCP round the corner - Chatham St iirc. Never had any problem in there but only ever bunged the Leggy in it so no real temtation.

Try the City Inn mate. Stayed there many times, it's in the top 3 on Tripadvisor

You have to park in a nearby NCP underground car park though, but they have security and I've seen loads of very nice cars there.

The hotel's own website should give you the best rate.

http://www.roomzzz.co.uk/ - not really a hotel and no idea about parking but I'm going to give this place a try on my next visit, looks really good.

stayingcool.com is another, like above

The Macdonald Picadilly just down from train station and short walk / taxi into centre of town.
Car Park at back with coded entry (not covered) however wouldnt walk around the back of the hotel at night unless you are looking for business....yikes
