I'm off to Val for a long weekend over Easter and won't have boarded for 16 months by the time I go.

I'm a beginner - 2 weeks previous experience + ocassional snow dome and want to improve to try and keep up with the Mrs who has done 2 seasons.

I'm going to book private lessons in the morning each day for the 4 days, but what is the best length of lesson to learn as much as possible but not overdoing it?

I was thinking 2 or 3 hours each morning and then spending the afternoon uo the mountain with the Mrs

What do the PH Massive think??

Yup, this.

Or the alternative, get proper lessons all day and meet new people!

Thanks both

Moonie - noticed your web link, you maybe able to help us if you are interested as we haven't booked it yet

2 of us flying out Thursday 1st April evening, 4 nights in resort then flying back Monday evening 5th April.

Current thoughts - BA flights from LHR (live 30 mins away) to Geneva then looking at hotels in Val. Also have a 6 month old baby, and trying to source a nanny to look after her in the afternoons.

Happy to look at any resort, I just know Val

Is this your bag?

I wouldnt go for more than 2 hours private a day, or even every other day. That will be enough information and practice time to keep you busy for the other hours ! Otherwise you are just paying to ski/board with someone.

Can recommend Hotel Le Kern in Val, just off on the high street, a nice little 2 star breakfast only hotel. Cheap too, well as much as anything is in Val smile
