Things to do tomorrow?
Discussion
Quick question before the mods come along and shoves this post into the unknown, unloved, unused and forgotten "travel and holiday" section.
I need to quickly provide a list of possible activities both my girlfriend and I can do tomorrow (sunday 24th.)
She.... isn't bothered about cars :-( and doesn't like being in them for too long - so 1-hour max travelling each way from sheffield, and nothing car orientated; including planes/ boats/ trains etc.
Needs to be cheap, i.e. no more than £15/pp entrance fees.
Thus far, I can only think of clumber park/ nottingham forest/ ripley castle, gardens and cathedral.
any suggestions welcome - even ways of convincing her that cars are not just a mode of transport - that's what buses are for.
Thank you :-)
p.s. type quickly as to get in before it's deported!
ETA: The new title does look better, thank you mod.
Plus - I only have until 2'ish to provide some useless suggestions.

Aye, dogging is out - sorry fella.
Watched avatar last weekend - t'was ok, but - I had already watched pocahontas, and dances with wolves :-) SFX though were something else!
but yes, cheap and cheerful sunday activites for a young couple who wish to be in the open air (weather permitting.)
Did find something new; Heights of Abraham - but they're closed until feb. So am back to square 1 - asking people on a motoring forum, hahaha.

what about magna? You're next door.
Any of the country stuff is going to be so wet and muddy that it isnt going to be much fun.
But if you are going as far as Ripley then a bit further to Fountains?
York? Use the park and ride though. Walk her around the walls then cafe?
magna - yeah, erm - probably not. Unless I'm mistaking it for the earch centre?Any of the country stuff is going to be so wet and muddy that it isnt going to be much fun.

Magna is inbetween tinsley (sheffield,) and rov'rum (rotherham.) ?
Have thought about getting muddy - but my mind is being perverted, and that train of thought only ends in smiles.
Tried york a few months ago - saw the walls, found a "haunted house - as seen on tv," but nothing else. Could've been due to the christmas shoppers, but I failed to find (even when using google maps on my phone,) the jorvik centrre and the dungeons. Was cold, wet and quite boring.
Certainly wasn't going to pay £12 to walk around the cathedral neither. upto £5 yes, £12? - no bloody way.
Go to Castleton in the Peak district for a mooch around, lovely village and lady friendly shops and nice pubs for food - you could always go into one of the Caverns or up to the castle if you want to spend some money - scenery is nice, you have to pay for parking but it's not too bad - make sure you drive up/down the impressive steep pass (Mamtor I think it's called) it's at the other end of Castleton. You'll get to drive on part of the Snake Pass if you go via Ladybower.
