Looking to go on our first family holiday for several years (hard times).

Saw an advert on the TV for James Villas. They look good and seem like a good company. Some nice deals on their website.

Anyone had any personal experience of this company?

Any help is appreciated as this is our first holiday for 5 years and it must be event free :-)

We used them a few years back and went to this one.

The villa itself was excellent, athough the linen was a bit 'thin', the crockery and kitchen utensils were very basic and nothing really matched. The local rep called in once and we didn't need to see her again. No complaints, but haven't used them since.

Hello mate, we've tried various places and for the last 9 or 10 years we have booked independently via the web (villas and flights)- because you get a HUGE amount more for your money. Also, most places are privately owned so are typically better equipped and more lovingly maintained.

We have used villarenters.com many times, and people on here pointed me to ownersdirect.com which is also really good.

Taking that extra time to book your own villa and flights will mean an equivalent holiday comes at a lower cost, or you get a far better holiday for an equavalent price.

Used them once, no problems, but we only used them because it was an extremely cheap deal.

We advertise with www.ownersdirect.co.uk - as above, going direct to the villa owners gets you a better deal, with arguably the same service!

Southern Spain, Andalucia is looking favorite.

Weather is putting me off at the moment. Seems to get quite cold...Outdoor non-heated swimming pool might be a bit nippy.

have used these people for many years and now have my villa rented out through them

We went to Mallorca last year with villaparade. Really good value, nice short flight, warm sea, great villa with pool.
