I just had a quick check of prices to Auckland with Emirates, and eBookers are stating it's a 777 all the way there. I hate their 777s! Anyone know any different? It was usually just a 777 to DXB, then a swap to an A345.

Flyertalk, that's the forum I was trying to think of! I just posted on pprune's P&SLF bit so I'll see if anyone there has any idea first, cheers.

Yep, effective August 1st, EK406/7 have been 'upgraded' from the A345 to the 777-300ER. Shame, because I preferred the coved J class seats on the 345s I've been on in the past, will hope the 777-300ER has them.

Im pretty sure the 300ER has those seats - I took them when I flew from DXB-LHR last (non-A380 unfort)

That's good to hear. EK seem to vary which planes fly those legs, not all have been upgraded yet which can be annoying but I've been fortunate so far - except for the time I was on EK1, had reserved a great seat on the 380, only for it to be substituted for a shoddy old 777 at the last minute (with a lot of people bumped either from J to Y, or off completely!)
