Where should I stay? (London)

I'm doing the PH London to Brighton bike ride on 20th June this year. My loose plan is currently to stay in London the afternoon/night before with the gf and kids and then leave them there to spend the day doing their own thing while I go off cycling. I'll then make my own way back to Clapham Common using the L2B transport.

So I need somewhere that's easy to get to central London on the Sunday, but more importantly is easy to get to Clapham Common for 06:00 I'd need secure bike storage and somewhere to park the car until later on the Sunday.

Does anyone have any suggestions, currently I'm looking at the Premier Inn in the old GLC building but I'm not sure about parking for 24 hours(ish) round there.

Finding somewhere to store your bike is going to be the problem. One of the serviced apartments like Think on Bermondsey St might be more suitable (more space to put the bike in the room), but I don't know how many can sleep in a room.
On Your Bike run a cycle park at London Bridge, but I think that the opening hours are short on a Sunday - Don't know if this would be any different on the L2B weekend.
